Opens Friday, Jun 21, 2013 Synopsis: A cantankerous retiree discovers an untapped gift while wrestling with the impending death of his beloved wife in this inspirational musical drama from director Paul Andrew Williams. Arthur (Terence Stamp) has shared a fruitful and enduring marriage with his wife Marion (Vanessa Redgrave) when he receives the devastating news that their days together are numbered. But while Marion's condition might be terminal, she chooses to take the diagnosis in stride, doing her best to cherish what remaining time she has with her husband. Meanwhile, Arthur's already dour attitude grows increasingly grim with each passing day. When the senior's choir that Marion sings in shows up at their window one stormy morning to serenade them with Stevie Wonder's "You Are the Sunshine of My Life," Arthur completely loses his cool and snaps at the well-intentioned crooners. His outlook worsens right alongside Marion's health, but when she asks him to be her substitute in the choir, he agrees in an attempt to make her smile. Little does Arthur realize that choir director Elizabeth (Gemma Arterton) favors teaching the group such nontraditional tunes as Motörhead's "Ace of Spades" rather than the tired glee-club standards. In time, something remarkable happens -- Arthur finds his voice and remembers how it feels to truly be alive in the moment. Christopher Eccleston co-stars. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi Cast: Terence Stamp, Vanessa Redgrave, Christopher Eccleston, Gemma Arterton Movie Details Play Trailer
