WADENA- The first round of bid openings for the construction of the new Wadena-Deer Creek School took place Thursday at WDC Elementary. More than 50 companies from Minnesota bid on concrete, structural steel, geothermal wells, site lighting, earthwork, asphalt paving, landscaping and utilities. Kraus-Anderson, the construction site manager, will recommend the bids to the WDC School Board. The board is expected approve the bids at a special board meeting at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the WDC Elementary media center.
