The Pequot Lakes/Breezy Point Lion's Club awarded the "Lion of the Year" award to Virg Lundberg of Pine River. Club officials said Lundberg is in charge of the Shish-Ka-Bobber smoking at every event and he works tirelessly at it.

MERRIFIELD - Melvin "Bud" A. May, 79, resident of Merrifield, Minn., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005, at Woodland Good Samaritan Village after a long battle with cancer.
