He was born on April 29, 1932, in Minneapolis to Lars and Marion (Evenson) Thompson. He was a Korean War Army veteran. Bob was a retired Teamster driving for Midwest Motor Express in Roseville. He was a member of the Garrison VFW No. 1816 and Light of the Cross Lutheran Church in Garrison.
