Lovelle (Johnson) Arnold, former Brainerd resident, died at 5:45 a.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2012, in Summit, N.J., where she has lived since October 2010. She was born Sept. 30, 1924, in Morris, Minn., to Hans and Minnie Johnson. She graduated from Morris High School and while attending the University of Minnesota, met John Arnold whom she married on March 3, 1948. Early marriage years were spent living in Anchorage, Alaska, Tokyo, Japan, and Minneapolis. They resided in Brainerd from 1957 until 2000 when they moved to Delray Beach, Fla., permanently.

MAY 30 - 80 years ago (1922) - Pete Woelvert and A.C. Ebert were fishing yesterday. With 24 minnows, they caught 29 pike, two perch and three suckers. On the way home a Ford passed Ebert and he never got over it.
