PINE RIVER - Some Minnesota DNR officials have called the new Pine River Information Center the nicest facility along the Minnesota trails system, said Pine River Chamber of Commerce President Chris Hanneken.

Crow Wing County's campus building project is largely on schedule with increases to the original contracts for the $56.5 million project totaling $89,362.

"This building is at least a month ahead of schedule and under budget," said Gary Walters, Crow Wing County Board chairman, during a public dedication ceremony Tuesday for the first of the county's new buildings that will attract heavy public use.

The doors to the Brainerd School District's Learning Center opened last week.
